Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is beany coffee with dark malt, coffee grounds, some milky lactose, roast, more coffee throughout. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Body is medium, lightly creamy with (too) low carbonation. A bit unrefined, lacking in carbonation, but the coffee fiend in me approves.

Tap at 6e Midzomer Bier en BBQ festival, Hillegom: Very dark brown but almost black colored brew. With an dry bitter taste and hints of roasted malts, lactose and some watery cold coffee.

Fles 33cl thuis. Rood fruit, wat roasted malts, wat funky, licht koffie, wat lactose, beetje hout, bitters, wat droog. Niet helemaal in balans. (7-9-2019).

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is funky, roasted, toffee, taste is sweet toffee, bitter coffee, thin, a little more funk.

Sampled at NSF Den Bosch. Opaque dark brown to black color, full sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, espresso, coffee bitter, lingering coffee and dark malt bitters. Nice. 8-4-8-3-14.

Gedronken tijdens bierfestival Den Bosch. Kleur is donkerbruin. Weinig aroma iets houtig. Smaak is kruidig, houtig en zoet. Nasmaak is licht bitter.

Geprobeerd met Inoven, Roelzie1986 en Benzai op het Nederlands Speciaalbier festival in den Bosch. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig en wat wrang.
