'Hazy' IPA in this commercial beer project with roots in my city of Ghent; comes from the familiar stubby bottle but with green label, bought at the Delhaize Zwijnaarde. Thick, frothy, bit pillowy, cobweb-lacing head on a misty yellow-straw blonde robe with a column of visible sparkling in the middle. Aroma of old dried lemon peel, lavender, white bread crust, apple peel, chewing gum, banana, peppermint leaf, plaster, touch pineapple. Spritzy, sweetish onset, ripe pear and pineapple with pronounced banana (even bubblegummy - strong isoamylacetate for sure), minerally and sharpish carbonation, slick mouthfeel with softish edge. Honeyish residual sugars add a quite pronounced sweetness over a slender white-bready malt core, while the hops come to the foreground shyly and slowly, eventually presenting themselves in a superficially grassy, only mildly bitter way; some retronasal effects of lavender, vague orange blossom and lychee come with it, but it never reaches the wealth of aromas and sultriness a true 'hazy IPA' (in the NEIPA sense) conveys. Everything remains simple, sweet and even a bit sticky in the end, like a hypercommercial blonde abbey beer - this is, indeed, only slightly more 'IPA' than that awful Leffe Royale Cascade that still creeps me out when I think of it. One for the masses - but not one for seasoned IPA drinkers, that much is clear.

hazy bright yellow colour, huge, not too dense, but still quite stable snow-white head; aroma of pineapple, mango, some tangerine, orange zest, litchi, slight biscuity and celery notes; taste is very similar to the aroma with some hoppy bittery, yeasty and spicy notes; good one
