33 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info found Aroma has licorice, malt, some smoky notes and ash. Flavour has ash, licorice, tobacco, smoke and hints of tar. Also minerals. Too ashy and too dry, looks like smoke eats the nice features of saison here.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty smoky caramel spicy aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty smoky caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty smoky finish.

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham på Nerstranda 5 Nov 16. Så vidt gjennomskinnelig rødt. Egentlig svart. Middels høyt tett skum med litt farge. God aroma av røyk & bacon. Smaken lær & røyk. Balansert koseøl.

330ml bottle bought from djoeye. A covering creamy. fawn-coloured head. Clear dark rosewood coloured body. Fair lacing. Attractive smoked malty smell, a bit ashy. Fine blended taste of smoked malts, bacon like, and chocolate malts. Smooth malty ending, with a backdrop of dark fruits. Medium bodied. Like it (Shared with Finn at his place, session in Tromsø 05.11.2016).

Musta olut melko runsaalla keskiruskealla vaahdolla, joka kuitenkin laskee aika nopeasti miltei kokonaan. Vahvassa tuoksussa savua, maltaista paahteisuutta ja maitosuklaata. Belgihiivainen aavistuksen hedelmäisyyteen kallellaan oleva tuoksu häilyy hyvin pienenä ja vienona jossain taustalla. Maku maltainen, karamellinen, savuinen, mutta ennen kaikkea hieman kitkerämmän kahvinen. Belgivaikutelmat häviävät täysin maussa ja saisonia tästä ei saa tekemälläkään. Melko runsaasti hiilihappoja, pistelevä kitkerän kahvinen ja savuinen jälkimaku. Suutuntuma on keskitäyteläinen. Kuiva, varsin erikoinen mutta samalla mielenkiintoinen savuolut, jossa saisonin häivähdykset jäävät tuoksuun. Edit. Kyllä tässä itse asiassa lämmetessä myös maussa on pientä belgifiilistä havaittavissa.

330ml bottle from Alko. Pours dark brown, almost black with a massive thick foamy head. Aroma of smoked malts, hints of ripe fruits, yeast, spices and leather. Taste is heavily carbonated, ripe fruity and spicy with a touch of leather, smoked wood and licorice. Finish is fruity, spicy and yeasty with some smoky notes. Interesting, not your typical black saison. Works suprisingly well.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown, small head. Phenolic rubbery bacon aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Caramel, marzipan, phenols, chocolate and smoky bacon. I have my doubts regarding this styles future.

33cl bottle from trade with rosenbergh, many thanks! Pours very dark brown colour with a mid-sized good lasting tan head. Aroma of smoked sweet malt and bacon. Taste of smoked dark malt, some coffee, spices, bacon, interesting!
