Bottle at Pub Winston. Dark opaque brown color, small steady beige head. Smoke, wood and tartness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Smoke, light tar, vegetably tartness. Aftertaste has some licorice too plus alco kick. Not as interesting as the beta version.

Bottle from Alko. Pours black color with a dense light brown head. Quite nice smoky aroma, meaty, with some caramel and minerally notes. Flavor has smoked meat, yeasty, spicy notes, dried dark fruits perhaps. Quite balanced, with smoke and sweet caramel lingering. Pleasant one.

Bottled (from Alko Keskusta, Vaasa). Black colour with a big slightly off-white head. Aroma is roasted, some floral and smoked notes as well as some ripe fruits. Flavour is very similar, but leaves quite simple and almost a bit watery as for the palate.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 01/17, 20160205) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, burnt malts and smoked ham. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, liquorice, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A confusing brew and not a saison. And is this the same as Musta Savu-Saison?

A black beer, a head is almost medium and beige. Aroma has dry smokyness, roastiness, some liquirice. Taste has coffee, smoke, roastiness and liquirice. Medium bodied, nicely smooth. Dry smoke, good beer, no notes of saison.
