On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is quite sweet, with loads of vanilla upfront - not much else. Flavour has notes of vanilla, roasted malt, and a little cocoa. Well-balanced and with lots of flavour, with perhaps more roast than most porters. Good stuff.

Black color with small brownish head. A lot of dark caramel in this beer, some roasted malt flavor, roasted nuts, and a hint of liquorice; light residual sweetness; a bit too roasty in the final.
This is a good Foreign Stout, not a Doppelbock or Baltic Porter.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a dark tan head. Malt and light caramel aroma with light mineral and light chocolate. Caramel and light cocoa flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and light cocoa lingers with light roast and backing mineral notes.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark burnt malt, and darker fruits. Full bodied. Flavor is coffee, burnt malt, medium dark fruits, and hints of chocolate. Coffee dominates. Seems to have a slight hint of salt. Gets a little earthy in the finish, which is neither sweet nor dry. Nice!
