At the end of the 1990s, the paths of Armand of Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen and Karel of Geuzestekerij De Cam crossed each other thanks to their love for the finest of beer styles. Since then, that passion has been continued shoulder to shoulder.

On December 16, 2018, twenty years to the day after the very first 3 Fonteinen lambik brew ever, Armand and Karel brewed together again for a long time. The lambics from that day and from the joint brewing moments in the following years were divided over the barrels in Lot and Gooik. Four years later, Karel Goddeau and Michaël Blancquaert selected ten fine lambics from the joint brews from both barrel rooms and bottled a quintessential gueuze – only bottled! – on October 26, 2022, Armand's birth date.

This bottle celebrates the long friendship, the beautiful moments and memories, the wonderful craft, the mutual respect and the steadfast values that Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen and Geuzestekerij De Cam share. Central on the label is the word “Geuze” - once written by Armand - as a connecting factor.

Очень сухой, немного как будто сена не хватает, хотя дерева очень много и немного скота.

22|23 Edition Huge, towering, lightly yellowish head over orange-golden beer. Dry, horseblanket lambic nose with crabapples, straw, and some aldehyde-like sidenote. Sulphur. Straw, horseblanket, green apples, appleester and appleskins; further fruity resins, lactic acid. Bit tarry, faintly smoked in the finish. Ultra dry. Very well-carbonated and wheatslick. Acidity held in check! Excellent gueuze. 3 Fonteinen + De Cam, can't go wrong, I suppose. Txs to Stef!

Poured from 750mL bottle (bottled 26/10/2022; bb 26/10/2042). Hazy dark gold with small white head. Mild rubber, nice underlying funk, fairly carbonated, okay despite the off flavour.

Opaque and pale amber. Some head. The aroma is a bit leathery, lemony. On the palate, a touch phenolic, then fairly effervescent, and some tannins in the finish. A bit of lemon juice, minimal bugginess. The phenols are fairly light for me, so don't detract too much.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy bright orange with a small white head. Aroma has a unique barnyard funk, with tons of old leather, some citrus, and a touch of low-level phenols (burnt rubber). Flavour is full of old leather, light phenolic notes, and some citrus. It’s got a champagne-like carbonation, which helps. Not the first time a 3F beer has been a bit messed up from phenols. This is still very good due to the unique funk character but needs some fixing.

750ml traded in Copenhagen (thx, Robert S.!) @ SF.
Aroma: rubbery, funk, some minerals.
Taste: tons of that rubber on front followed by funk and minerals.
Overall: something not good is going here, unfortunately.

750mL bottle. Pours murky gold with a white head. Musty old furniture, leather, and some barnyard funk on the nose. Flavour has musty old citrus, some mildew, leather; there's also a vein of phenolic rubber that's coming through more strongly as it warms up, throwing it off a bit. Still a very good beer, but the phenols are a bit disappointing in a beer coming from these two breweries.

Bottle pour at Billie's. Loads of stonefruits, hints of apples, a hint of grain sweetness, citrus notes, lots of funk, light barnyard, this one's got it all. Dry, sophisticated and elegant
