Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is wood, cognac, roasted malt, booze, bourbon, raisins, chocolate, notes of dark fruits. Flavour is medium sweet with a little roasty bitterness. Body is above medium with too much carbonation. A bit sharp and raw, but some nice oaky cognac and bourbon notes.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 19 Feb 2022) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, red berries, oak wood, vanilla and a touch of vinegar acidity. Malty, fruity, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, red berries, oak wood, vanilla, juniper berries and a mild roasty bitterness in a vinous finish with a slight acidity. Full body, with a slight sweetness. Interesting, complex and really tasty. Very nice.

Almost black beer, a head is quite big and brown. Aroma has liquorice, dried fruitness of raisin, toffee, some vanilla, bourbon, barrel. Aroma has dried fruitness, raisin, low liquorice and bourbon, maybe hint of cognac. Almost full bodied. This is very nice beer, notes of alcohol are quite strong but it fitts nicely to this big beer.

Opaque colour, firm brownish head. Roasted malts, cocoa, black coffee, sweet licorice, vanilla and cognac. Medium-bodied. Quite activate carbonation. Roasted malts, tar, bourbon, hints of vanilla, warming alcohol in the flavour. Balanced, well-made BA.

33 cl bottle poured into a Snifter. Near black with a medium sized tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, chocolate, rich boozy, bourbon barrel, vanilla and sweet fruits. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Sweet finish with lingering bourbon barrel and overripe fruits. Cognac barrel shows at the late finish. Very enjoyable if you're in to the barrel stuff.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with full foamy tan head. Aromas of green oak, sharp cognac, raisins, and toasted malts. Flavors of green oak, dark fruit, a mix of boozy alcohol and biscuity malts. The alcohol mix comes across as a bit phenolic. Would be interested to cellar.
