Tap at Apollo. Brown, nutty color. Small steady beige head. Chocolaty, grainy aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Watery. Chocolate, some vegetables. So and so.

(On tap) Slightly hazy, deep amber golden with a nice, beige head. Distinct buttery nose with some sweetness. Medium body, very soft mouthfeel. Lightly sweet caramel notes, perhaps some fruit and flowers. Fortunately the buttery notes remained in the aroma only, there’s no greater acidity on my palate. Not much hoppiness either. But Brown Ale? Not really... 300807

Draft. A hazy orange beer with a thin dense tan head. The aroma is sweet yeasty and estery combined with lighter notes of nuts, malt, and straw. The flavor is slightly acidic with notes of malt, caramel, and lighter notes of yeast, fruit, diacethyl, and phenol. Not good - couldn’t even finsh my 25 cl serving.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber/brown with a light brown and creamy head. Thick toffee nose and quite a lot of butter aroma but also a vague fruity note. Thin to watery mouthfeel and flavour of mild malt and slight herbal. Light bitterness in the finish. Decent but the aroma is too buttery.
