Brewed with Tomahawk and Simcoe hops. Viven Imperial IPA came from the westcoast of America but is brewed in Flemish style and gives a great result. It will make the beer lovers heart beat a bit faster. An adventure for your senses. Amber coloured with a thin off-white head, Viven Imperial IPA is a good hoppy beer with citrus accents. Fruity nose (peach and pink grapefruit) with floral flavours, recalls a forest (spruce) in the early morning. The hops are prominent. Viven Imperial IPA is pleasently bitter.

Bottle from Bier Tempel, Brussels
Cloudy amber color, with compact head. Nice aroma, fruity, mellow. Good body strength, with malt flavor but most of all spicy Belgian yeast, luckily without sweetness, and instead with strong bitterness. Maybe the final is too bitter.
Never completely seduced by Belgian IPAs, because of the clash of ingredients, this one anyway is quite well brewed.

Hazy deep amber beer. Thick frothy off white head. The head gives a hit of fresh lime hops. Palate is light, soft and dry and the head makes it airy. Light soft caramel malt is a base for hops that impart lime, pine with grapefruit and orange in the background. Finishes light and frothy and with more fresh hop. A delightful DIPA.

Bottle @ home, shared with ansjelaah. Clear orange colour with a big, full, creamy white head. Smells hoppy, fresh, fruity, bitter, sweet, grapefruits. very nice smell! Tastes very bitter, hoppy, not as fruity as i’ve hoped, but still quite nice. This is quite a good brewery. Great carbo, dull body.

33cl bottle pours copper with thick gold hued edges and tall tan head with some clumpy sheet lacing. The aroma offers up a slightly odd mix of citrus, cherry, spicy hops and pine. Interesting. The taste begins with a mix of pine hops and malt sweetened citrus that creates a citrus orange like hard candy sensations. To midway it gets modestly more bitter with pine and citrus and near grapefruit like hops as the sweet malts fade away. It lingers into the finish with modest citrus and pine hoppiness. Pretty decent hoppy brew. A fresh pint straight from the tap would be fun to try.

Bottle @ home. Fairly hazy, reddish orange appearance with a sizable, orangish tan head. Somewhat spicy, grapefruit citrusy, slightly herbal hoppy, a touch woody aroma. A bit resiny, slightly herbal/floral, rich grapefruit hoppy, somewhat woody, a touch toasty flavor. Pretty good.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Delirium Hoppy Loft // amber with a tanned white head // smell is loaded with fruity pine & pomegranate hops with a touch of candy sugar & caramel sweetness rounding them off, still definitely American // taste isn’t the instant blast of hops you expect, instead of slow start, touch sweet, caramel, candy sugar which blends into & moderates, fruity tangerine, pine, grapefruit, not quite a hop blast but very nice never the less / great idea, execution // one of the few & best American-style IIPA / IPA & the style in general in Belgium // medium, slightly caramel & hop body

330 ml bottle at De Republik. Pours an orange brown with full head. Aroma of citrus and North American hops with a hint of caramel. Hops, bitter orange, and brown sugar flavors. Maybe a bit of vanilla. Hoppy for a Belgian... A good beer.

Shared bottle at local tasting. ABV 8.0%. Amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Distinctly hoppy aroma and flavour, grapefruity and piney notes. Very "American", good stuff.
