Brewed with Tomahawk and Simcoe hops. Viven Imperial IPA came from the westcoast of America but is brewed in Flemish style and gives a great result. It will make the beer lovers heart beat a bit faster. An adventure for your senses. Amber coloured with a thin off-white head, Viven Imperial IPA is a good hoppy beer with citrus accents. Fruity nose (peach and pink grapefruit) with floral flavours, recalls a forest (spruce) in the early morning. The hops are prominent. Viven Imperial IPA is pleasently bitter.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Bruges. Rated on 16.07.2010
Aroma has lots of fruits with exotic hops and some caramel. Flavour is rather fruity with hops, some pineapple, grapefruit, caramel malt and hints of toffee. The hops make this very American and this actually has no Belgian character at all. Not that it would be a bad thing...

Bottle at t’Brugs Beertje, Brugge - 01/12/12. Thanks to Yvonne for the pour. Hazed mid amber with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is bitter hops, pine, mango. Taste follows, tropical fruits, hops, pine. light bitter grapefruit, caramel malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, bitter finish. A really decent drop !

Great orange color. Nice hoppy resin smell and taste but with enough malt to keep it going. Really good beer.

Rerating ( former 4,4 rate ) after drinking this tons of time . I often pick it over all other beers in a bar, including new ticks ( I know, I’m a bad ticker ) since its simply one of the / if not THE best IIPA in Belgium. Pours dark amber, good white foam Smell is floral hoppy , sweet , yeasty Taste is sweet grains, with the perfect amount of hops . Bitter, but not tó extreme . Very balanced and drinkable, perfect carbo . Very nice taste, dangerously good .

Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is floral/citrus. And there are other things there. Like non-red berry? Like pale grape? Full bodied. It’s pale berry, grapey, with a certain rough malt back ground. It’s very hoppy/bitter, but only in a slightly harsh way. It’s very complicated. Quite mouthsmacking. Extraordinarily strong in flavors. Love this stuff.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a light tan head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit rind and pine flavor with light summer fruits. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Rind and pine lingers with light caramel and light summer fruits.
