Brewed with Tomahawk and Simcoe hops. Viven Imperial IPA came from the westcoast of America but is brewed in Flemish style and gives a great result. It will make the beer lovers heart beat a bit faster. An adventure for your senses. Amber coloured with a thin off-white head, Viven Imperial IPA is a good hoppy beer with citrus accents. Fruity nose (peach and pink grapefruit) with floral flavours, recalls a forest (spruce) in the early morning. The hops are prominent. Viven Imperial IPA is pleasently bitter.

33cl bottle from Good Spirits Co. Very hazy orange with a thick off white head. Caramel and citrus aroma, flavour is similar with notes of pine and alcohol. Good.

Hazy medium amber colour, good two finger frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, heavy lacing. Aroma pale malts, grapefruit, orange, tropical fruits, grass, tropical fruits. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, orange peel. Dry sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, herbal notes, husky, hint of alcohol, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth, crafty and well-balanced.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear orange with a gold hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces. Aroma has grass and earthy pine with a grain backbone. Flavor has lots of earthy pine with grass and bread notes underlying.

Caña en ipa cervecería Gijón. 01..04..2017 (r586). Color ámbar miel anaranjado con espuma blanca. Sabores maltosos ligeros dulces y herbaceos . Cuerpo ligero a medio con 8 vol que no se dejan notar mucho. Normal.

Fra fat på Delirium Cafe 9 Mar 17. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt kritthvitt tett & stabilt skum. Tynn lacing. God aprikosaroma. Smaken variert fruktig. Mango & fersken. Balansert.

Pours clear dark orange with a big, frothy, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains hops, flowers, citrus, pine, pepper and spices. It tastes light citrusy sweet and medium to heavy bitter. The finish is long, dry, bitter and very spicy. Slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Well brewed.

Gekregen van een collega op 5-09-2016. En geproefd op 28-1-2017. Viven Imperial IPA is een kastanje-kleurig en helder biertje dat een amber-beige kleurig schuim produceert bij het uitschenken. Het is een normale hoeveelheid in een romig-moussige structuur en blijft sterk aan het glas kleven. Na een tijdje is het ingezakt tot een fijne gelijkmatige laag van ongeveer 5 mm. Toch tamelijk wat middelmatig grootte CO2 belletjes zien opborrellen. Er drijft wel veel gist in rond, allemaal witte vlokken. Het aroma van Viven Imperial IPA is karamelzoet, hopbitter en fruitig, abrikoos, perzik en pompelmoes. Er is ook een zweem van iets wat op vochtige dennenaalden lijkt. De smaak van Viven Imperial IPA is bitter met iets zoetig in verweven. Het hopbittere overheerst vooral, maar de zoete karamel is nog wel waar te nemen, ook komt er nu een zeer licht gerookte mout toetsje opduiken. In de mond geeft Viven Imperial IPA een volle smaak en hij is wat bitterdroog, met een volmondige textuur en normaal CO2 prikkelend. Het is een wat complex tot samentrekkend totaalgevoel dat je hiermee krijgt. De nasmaak vloeit lang uit en is vooral bitter met een zeer droge tot wrange nadronk. Dat wrange en het bittere dat alles zowat overheerst bevalt mij niet zo. Maar we waren er gefrituurde aperitiefhapjes bij aan het eten en dan merk je dat dit heel goed samengaat. 33cl bottle in De Zandloper, Brugge on 26th Dec 2016. Slight haze to the golden pour, beige head that didn’t last long. Sweet malts throughout, saved only by a mild citrus trace or two from the hops. Actually my sweet tooth liked this.

Draft 10 oz pour at Yard House. A golden copper pour with an infinite coat of foam head and lacing. Rich malt aroma with a unique hop quality to pair. Flavor is as creamy as they get, thick body, caramel rich malt, toasty, slight spicy hops. Lingering toasty bitterness, with a small plastic hint. Fun, unique imperial IPA here. Pretty good stuff.
