Relax is the perfect name for this hazy India Pale Ale because it’s impossible not to when you’re drinking it. We use a combination of fruit-forward hops like Citra and Amarillo along with Centennial and Simcoe, to impart fruity, tropical and citrus notes, and London III yeast to give it that soft, round mouthfeel. No bitterness, no pucker. Just a smooth IPA that drinks like a breeze.
Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe
Malts: 2-Row, Flaked Oats, Carafoam
Yeast: London III

Draught @ Albion. Extremely hazy/juicy bright yellow with very small frothy off-white head, sweet citrus aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter citrus-unripe mango taste, smooth somewhat thick body, long finish. Good NEIPA

440ml (or thereabouts) can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April '19. Thanks to blackhaddock for bringing this back from California. Pours hazy gold, frothy white head. Aroma has pulpy exotics. Silky smooth on the palate, pulpy stonefruit character overall, exceptionally light with great drinkability.

Solid beer. Surprising since it travel so far. Murky yellow pour. Passion fruit and mango. Some kumquat. Green onion hop tang finish. Tap at yard House.

16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Small frothy beige head. Fragrant citrus hop aroma hints at green onions and BO. Light bready malt backbone. Tropical citrus flavor. Mango, tangerine, papaya, pineapple and melon. Juicy notes are not overdone. Easy drinking and smooth.

Can pour into stemless wine glass from Valley Beverage. Appearance is cloudy dark yellow/light brown with minimal sparkle at the edges of the glass, 3-finger width off-white foamy head with fair retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruit, candied sugar, pine, grapefruit, herb (herb more noticeable as it warms). Taste is strong grapefruit, morphing into tropical fruit, orange, mango, herbal ending (again, more noticeable as it warms). Palate is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture (oats?), soft-to-average carbonation and mostly sweet finish, as taste, with slight bitter balance. Overall, a damn fine NEIPA from a west coast brewer (though a quality offering is no surprise from these guys)! High marks across the board as this is outstanding.

28th Feb 2019. US Pint from a can, sat in the afternoon sun, Son-in-Laws back garden, Laguna Hills, California. In fact it was a 'Relax' by the pool! Pours hazy (just like it says on the tin), golden hue to the orange body, white crown on top. Tropical fruit smoothie in aroma, taste and look. Semi-sweet, semi-bitter, refreshing and thirst quenching.
