Draught at City Beer Store. This beer hides the alcohol so well and delivers and amazingly light tartness of cherry and black currant.

A deep dark brown sour ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with light butterscotch notes, light caramel and vanilla, light tobacco, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart mix of dark fruits, chocolate, acetic acid, horse blanket, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. Cask Days 2018.

Keg @ IndyMan 2018. Pours a deep reddish brown, small off-white topping. Big spiced bourbon nose. Taste is pure filth, thick red wine-laced dark malts with some underlying bourbon and a little cherry which boosts a tart, rich sweetness. Excellent depth of flavour.

Reddish-brown. There’s an intense woodiness, light esters, brown sugar and maybe a bit of brown sugar. Tart, woody, intense and vinous.

On tap at Cascade, pours an opaque dark reddish brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is complex, with notes of bourbon barrels, tart red fruits and sour cherries. Flavour is complex, with bourbon barrels, sour cherries and light spicy earthiness. Very cohesive components come together here. Not too acidic or vinegary. Very good.
