Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: blurry purple to amber color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: blackberry sweet and tart whiffs up front, some earthy to woody tones, mineral water tone and light lactic/sour scent
Flavor: seems to blend the prior noted aromas to a tart to sour character initially but adds in a light sweet tone underneath; finishes blackberry forward with an ever so slight earthy to sour tone underneath
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper; slight smoothness but also some sour and tart astringency here, I tried to accept it but eh, hmmmmm, might have been a bit more than I thought.
Overall: for the most part, the aromas and flavors are very good and to be honest the more I thought about it with the texture I ended up accepting the overly sour notes besides it is a "sour/wild ale" so why not, right?

On tap at Manhattan Pizza. Pours a hazy purple with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is berry and vinegar. Slick body, berry, cereal, vinegar, decent.

Tap @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy red. Aroma and taste are rich sour berries, lactose acid, citrus and has a nice sour finish.

355ml can. Slightly cloudy, purple colour with small to average, frothy, diminishing, white head. Earthy, fruity, slightly lactic, minimally tangy aroma, notes of blackberry, a touch of sauerkraut. Taste is tart, tangy, earhty fruity, minimally lactic, notes of blackberry, some sauerkraut, fruit acid. Minimally oily, watery texture, astrigent palate, medium to coarse, scattered, prickly carbonation. Rather simple and monotonous, fairly refreshing - a bit disappointing.

16oz can from Bert's Mostly clear deep red with hints of purple with a frothy white head that is also tinged red. Tart and lemony on the nose with tart juicy fruit underneath. Tart but not overly so. Lemony but plenty of sweetness from the fruit. Not too shabby.
