Draught at Tapster: pours clear brown with beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, slight booze. Taste is sweet and chocolatey.

12 ounce bottle. Translucent mahogany brown color. Frothy tan head. Toasted malt aroma hints at milk chocolate and sweet toffee. Flavor mirrors nose. Overly sweet. Reminiscent of a Tootsie Roll. It’s certainly drinkable and a tad more enjoyable than Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter. For my money, the best chocolate brew is made by Young’s of London. Their Double Chocolate Stout is the bomb!

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-dark brown color with light hues of hazy burnt amber along the sides of the glass. Stringy messy lacing clings and softly slides into the beer.
The smell had a rich deep sweet milk chocolate malt with a luscious roasty coffee in the background.
The taste was mainly sweet through the combination of chocolate and creamy smooth vanilla. Coffee is barely there. A nice sweet sticky chocolate aftertaste leads to a sticky sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed fairly subdued but still good for the style and for me. Creamy subtleties roll over my tongue nicely.
Overall, I say this was a nice bock I would have again, perfect Easter dessert.

On tap at the bowsers. First smell in the glass a wharfing aroma of chocolate all over the bar, every body’s asking. The look is very dark, this appears to be a true craft beer, in a all attributes. Feel is good co2. Taste is rather mil chocolate from the start. Not like bitter dark chocolate, more like milk chocolate. Nice tan foamy head. Not over the top like so many choco beers. During the session I also detect a slight tartness to it that makes me thing happy. Much better than expected, very happy with this surprise. Over all it hides the supposedly high alky thing well, never know this is over 5%. Lots aof chocolate in here from start to end fer sure. Better done than most chocolate beers. I’m liking this.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a very dark brown color with red highlights and a medium sized foamy tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was very strong and pleasant with notes of chocolate, vanilla, cola, caramel and cookie dough. The flavor was chocolate, cola, vanilla, caramel and a bit of cookie dough. Very long finish. Medium body. Interesting.
