Bourbon Barrel-Aged Walnut Brownie-Inspired Imperial Stout
We've baked up a brilliant new beverage with the buoyant boatmen of Georgia's Pontoon Brewing in #MindOverBatter, our Bourbon Barrel-Aged Walnut Brownie-inspired Imperial Stout! Aromas of sweet, dark cacao, bourbon-soaked oak, and an increasing walnut richness as the liquid comes to ambient temperature. On the palate there's a bitter Baker's chocolate backbone, reminiscent of that perfect crispy corner piece of brownie with a silky finish of walnutty richness.

Never realized this was a pontoon collab, great memories of their beers with friends, never got to go to their fest though. Tons of brownie batter flavors, nutty chocolatey fudgy notes. Wish it had more bourbon notes but there are some on the finish.

Pitch black colour. Aroma is wood, toast, some dried fruits. Flavour is dried fruits, some chocolate, syrup and mild ripe berries. Quite smooth.

2023. Opaque colour and tiny head. Strong cocoa, booze, bourbon in the nose. Full-bodied. Bourbon, cocoa, syrup in the flavour. Sweetish but balanced. Good.

P: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
