This is an aggressively hopped American Brown Ale named after the Katmai National Park, home to thousands of Grizzly Bears. The hop bill combines a mix of classic and new wave hops for a great tropical aroma paired with sharp citrus and pine. This is underpinned with a complex combination of malts, providing a great base of caramel and nutty sweetness.

440ml can from Thornbridge Beer Club - Clear dark amber body, nose is big piney notes and hoppy grassiness, good malt loaf and caramel character in the taste. Had it shortly after on draught keg at Coach and Horses, much better body and longer finish. Score based on an average of the two.

Rocky white head left a froth on a reddish brown body. Conifer, resin & red berry aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a shaper clean back. Berries, pith, resin & pine tastes with a big hop hit in the bitter finish. Nice!
