Black color and an off-white head. Roasty nose, faint nuts, hoppy, slightly fruity. Mire roasty than fruity, malty Body, hoppy with Lemon and DARK berries.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Hop-forward BIPA with orange, grapefruit, some pine, soft roasted malt. Medium bitter, light sweet. Piney with a hint of chocolate, medium body.

Can at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is malt, roast, citrus, hops, liquorice. Taste is the same, liquorice, bitter, roast, citrus, hops, malt, some coffee. nice one.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Near black, small beige head. Aroma of licorice, mint and mild citrus. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Licorice, coffee and caramel. notes of black currant. Resinous very bitter finish.

33cl Blik van Sterk Avondverkoop. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Grapefruit, koffie, citrus, chocolade, hint van drop, vanille, gebrande mout, zachtbittere finish. Medium body. Smaakvol, milde BIPA.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 15 Feb 2024) Dark brown colour, hazy, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of dark bread, chocolate, rye, citrus and pine needles. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with chocolate, pine needles, mint, rye bread and a generous citric/piney bitterness. Almost full body, quite dry. Solid and well made black IPA. Very nice.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). More or less black colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is toffee, chocolate, some fudge and mild floral, wooden, piney and mild fruity tones. Flavour is mildly toasted tones, but has a beautiful fruity, floral and wooden kick with a nice bitterness coming through. Really good CDA.

ABV: 8.4%. ★ Hazy medium brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, moderate hoppy, pine, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, dark malt, roasted, fruity hops, pine, grapefruit, woody hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
