Als het woelig en onstuimig werd op de Suydersee, wist men dat Tunus in aantocht was. Tunus – heerser van de Suydersee – kon de wateren doen bulderen met barse stormen en kolkende golven. Vaak zo heftig, dat er geen enkel schip uit kon varen. Dan trokken vissers en zeelieden zich terug in herbergen en cafés en werd er gedronken, gelachen en geproost op het leven. Want men wist… Geef Tunus wat ruimte en de storm zal snel weer tot bedaren komen.

De Tunus tripel is een robuust en krachtig bier van hoge gisting dat een volle moutzoete mondbeleving combineert met een fruitige frisse afdronk. Speciaal gebrouwen voor roerige tijden. Drink een Tunus en kom erachter dat het allemaal wel meevalt.

Bottle. Spicy yeasty aroma with estery notes. Malt, notes of banana, sugary fruits, candied orange. Yeasty nuances. Medium sweet, light bitter. Body is medium. Pretty good Tripel actually.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Clear light orange golden color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are sweetish, floral a bit, flavor though is gone quickly. Average body and carbonation. Hmm okay.

Geprobeerd van tap met Inoven, Roelzie, Thom en Juul bij het Tap Takeover Festival Roosendaal 2022. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een dun laagje schuim wat snel weg ebt. Het heeft een mooie moutige wat zoete geur. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet, perzik en mango.

Thuis uit een flesje, gekocht bij de uitstekende Bierwinkel in Alkmaar. Gouden licht troebele kleur, roomwit schuim. Redelijke tripelsmaak, zacht, niet heel uitgesproken. Aardig.

Clear golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have sweet malts. Not too spicy or yeasty. Just ok.

Bottle @ home. Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of banana, some citrus, malts. Taste is rather sweet, banana, some coriander. Well balanced and nice tripel.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy golden. Aroma and flavor are sweet, candy, fruits, malt, grains, some booze. Overall: good, a bit too sweet, but i can live with it

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, fruity, red apple and sweet pear, light yeasty. Flavour is medium sweet to sweet, malty, light fruity, hint of coriander seed, some sweet lemon, light spicy, light vegetal, soft bitterness, some alcohol. Medium bodied at best. Decent if a bit simple tripel.
