Årets Snö Red Ale följer samma filosofi som föregående års upplaga. Inspirationen bygger på säsongens smaker – speciellt väl trivs den på julbordet. Den är bryggd på malt från korn, havre och råg som karamelliserats en smula. Systembolagets smakbeskrivning fångar den väl: Maltig smak med inslag av sirapslimpa, dadlar, nötter, kryddor, choklad och pomerans. Serveras vid 10-12°C som sällskapsdryck, till smakrika vegetariska rätter eller till rätter av fläsk-, lamm- eller nötkött.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, reddish brown with a creamy, beige head. Roasty nose, a slight tartness. Medium body, roasty, dusty crystal malts with this faint, underlying tartness (not n an infected way). Dry finish. 241125

Bottle from Systembolaget beställningssortiment. (my first one from this brewery) A bit hazy amber with a medium head. A bit on the sweet side with caramel, light grass and some chocolate. An ok one.

[ As Drottningholms Snö Red Ale ].
ABV: 5.0%. ✅ Clear medium to light amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, caramel, oat - rye, sweet malt, nutty, earthy touch. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, straw, caramel, nutty, yeast - oat - rye, earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20240118]

Sample (thanks omhper!). Amber colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is caramel, grains, some tea leafs and mild toasted tones. Flavour is sweet caramel, grains, mild toasted tones with some tea leaf bitterness to it.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget. -- Almost clear copper colour, firm mid sized head. Caramelly leafy nose. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and leafs, brown sugar and bread. Mid bitter finish. Laid back and pleasant.
