Our very first triple IPA, and it’s a wild one. 10.1%, 70IBU.
Miles says it tastes like somebody is squeezing overripe mangoes and peaches all over your face.
Brewed with a base of German Pilsner malt, flaked wheat, and Golden Promise, with sucrose added to the boil to boost the abv. Hopped judiciously in hopback with Galaxy and Comet.
We fermented Space Words with a blend of juice-forward hazy yeasts, as well as a unique nectar specialist yeast Metschnikowia reukaufii. This yeast was initially harvested from flowers in the Berkeley Hills of California, and is thought to have evolved to make flowers smell better for pollinators by altering nectar compounds like glycosides 🤓.
Super aggressively quadruple dry hopped with Galaxy, Eclipse, and a small amount of Comet (I’m not gonna lie, that was mostly for the name).
By far our juiciest, boldest, hoppiest beer to date (and probably our most expensive beer to make tbh, don’t tell Mark). Not likely to be re-brewed any time soon — we used all the Eclipse we could get — this is a limited run so grab some while it lasts & drink it fresh!

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Opaque and has a dull pale colour. Aroma has some of that galaxy gooseberry, some weed, some onion. It's not exactly poppin' fresh at this point. On the palate, hedges towards sweeter, with alcohol finish. Not a massive bitterness. The hop character has a bit of stone fruit, tangerine, that sort of thing. But again, while it's been living in my fridge it is nevertheless not at its peak. Seems like it would be worthy of a few more points.
