(Bottle, 0.5l - 2014 vintage, at Pikkulintu Kontula, 20240316) The beer poured golden and brilliantly clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, tartness, wood and lightly marmalade. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, vinous notes, grapes, wood, tartness, sourness and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, grapes and bitterness. Pleasant. Very different take on sour beer.

Best New Zealand lambic I've had this millennium. Great grapefruit infusion and some grape, a little oak barrel. Tangerine and a hint of pepper. Clear golden pour with ok head. Tart fruit finish. Very smooth and easy drinking. 2014 bottle at Pizza Paradiso.

From a 50 cl bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a quickly receding white head. Aromas are of funky fruit. Flavors are sour grapes and musty oak. Tasty.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Vinous fruity, woody, funky, tart-ish and tangy aroma, notes of white grapes, white wine, oak, hints of gooseberry, a touch of vinegar. Taste is tart, dry, woody, vinous fruity, notes of white grapes, white wine, grape juice, gooseberry, oak, some residual sweetness with hints of grape sugar, a touch of lime and vinegar. Watery texture, minimally astringent palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Well balanced, not too sour - good.

Bottle 50 cl. Vintage 2014 according to the label. Hazy yellow with a very fizzy but dissipating small, white head when poured. Very complec and vinous aroma - as in an oak aged Chardonnay. Medium body, initially rich and sweet, then gets funky with loads of Brett, white wine vinegar and probably also acetobacter. The sweetness challenges the sourness throughout making this not overly dry. A sophisticated beer indeed. 060320

From bottle @ Sori Taproom. Vintage 2014. Poured light golden in color, almost no head. Aroma has rhubarb, funkyness, apples and grapes. Tartness, wood, apples and light funk. Lemony notes in the dry finish. Delicious.
