Draught@Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere. Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown colour head. Aroma is liquorice, tropical fruits, mild ashes and roast.Flavour is ripe fruits,some bitter fruity and floral notes and a bunch of roast and ashes. No. Not my kind of black ipa.

Draught. Black with off-white head. Tropical fruits (mango/peach), citrus, roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. Moderately sweet and bitter, dry finish. Feels a bit thin.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of fruits, mango, roasty malts, licorice and coffee. Taste is smooth, fruity and juicy with hints of roastiness, cold coffee and chocolate. Finish is smooth, juicy and a bit stuffy with hints of licorice, cold coffee and hops. A bit untypical black IPA. Feels more like a regular IPA with some cold coffee and roasty malts thrown in. Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, grape, citrus, hints of coffee and roasted malts. Not bad.

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20141205) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, pineapple juice, apricots and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, pineapple juice, liquorice, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, hoppy and bitter. Aroma was a rather weird combination of scents but it wasn’t bad. The taste was more like of an ordinary hoppy dark ale. Also good was that the burnt components remained in the background. Well done brew.

Tap at Pub Winston. Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Aroma is toasted with hints of licorice. Licorice and fruity hoppyness in the flavor. A bit watery finish. Light piney hoppyness in the aftertaste. Decent bipa.

Draught @ Bryggeri Helsinki. Aroma has sweetish fruits, grapefruit and some licorice. Also resiny tones. Flavour has nettles, grapefruit, licorice and resin. Also some ash. Dry and not that far from Pläkki.
