Zundert 10 Trappist is een quadrupel met een licht kruidige toets die onze bieren kenmerkt. Dit trappistenbier is diep roodbruin van kleur, met een mooie, licht beige, schuimkraag. De geur geeft hints van gedroogde zuidvruchten, zwoele kruiden, drop en een beetje chocolade. De smaak is vol en zacht, in balans gebracht door een mooie hopbitterheid. In de nasmaak keert de Zundertse kruidigheid subtiel terug.

Söt smak med kola, lakrits och en aning svarta vinbär. Alkoholen värmer. Bör inte vara för kall vid avnjutandet.

33cl bottle that pours a clean dark amber colour with lighter highlights. Get a little hazier as it pours. The head is big, fluffy, frothy, light-beige with good retention and some some decent foamy streaks. Roasted and caramel malts in the nose with liquorice notes and hints of dark fruits, maple syrup. A nice dry enough finish in the mouthfeel, so not lingering with sweetness. The hops are nicely balanced for this, cutting through the caramel, butterscotch and mild dark fruits. Very easy drinkability for a 10% Trappist beer.

Bottle from the Lcbo. Nice when a bucket list beer shows up at the booze babysitter. Just have the American and Italian left on that Trappest list. Pours the expected opaque coffee brown, with a finger of tan head that sticks around. Really nice rich malt. Decently sweet toasted malt, with strong fresh berries, raspberries, a touch of cherry. A touch of yeasty ester, and yep a dose of booze. Solid.

330ml (thx, George) at Furry Creek South beach with George and a gang. Appearance: hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, brown sugars. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: good one!

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oxidation, dark fruits, and toffee. Flavour is rather oxidized, with sherry-like notes, dark fruits, toffee and bready malt. Seems like it has oxidized and didn't carbonate properly, but perhaps that is the bottle's issue. Gotta try this again at some point.

0.33l bottle. Clear orangish/ruby body with a huge beige head. Aroma of orange jam, plums, sugar syrup and some spices like clove and cinnamon. Taste of candi sugar, toffee, raisins, lemon zest, pepper and nutmeg. It shows everything that you expect from a quad: dried fruits, dark sugar and spices. Balanced, rounded beer. Great one.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Shared with Finn. A rich fawn coloured head, some of it remaining over a coal black body, crocheted lacing. Good looking. Rather restrained aromas of dried fruits and caramel malts. Solid and well blended taste character of figs, prunes, dark caramel and a backdrop of dark berries. Lightly roasted, long-lived ending, not overly sweet. Full bodied. Enjoying, tasty sipper. (Session at Bergstua in Malangen 19.06.2020).
