Zundert 10 Trappist is een quadrupel met een licht kruidige toets die onze bieren kenmerkt. Dit trappistenbier is diep roodbruin van kleur, met een mooie, licht beige, schuimkraag. De geur geeft hints van gedroogde zuidvruchten, zwoele kruiden, drop en een beetje chocolade. De smaak is vol en zacht, in balans gebracht door een mooie hopbitterheid. In de nasmaak keert de Zundertse kruidigheid subtiel terug.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Culemborg. Dark brown with an off-white head. Dark malty aroma with some molasses, dark fruits and banana. Typical strong dark Trappist taste and finish. Too much carbonation. Nice Trappist ale but this neatly falls in line with the Rochefort 10, Chimay Blue and similar beers while the regular Zundert is more distinct.

Bottle. Color: Ruby, light brown head. Aroma: Sweet, malt, notes of yeast and dark red fruit, hints of caramel and banana. Taste: Over medium sweet malt, notes of alcohol, dark red fruit, yeast, banana, spices like cloves and white pepper, sugar and hints of caramel. Over medium sweet, moderate to medium bitter. Bit sticky mouthfeel. Average to above average carbonation. Ok, but I think I prefer the Zundert Trappist 8 above this new one.

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Dark brown with tan head. Massive bananibali 🍌🍌🍌🤟. Overripe bananas, dates, raisans, figgs, coriander seed, white pepper yeasty. Moderate sweet and moderate bitter, pinch of salmiak. About medium body and soft carbonation. Alcohol not really disturbing the aroma palate. Quite alright. Body feels a bit twitchy, somewhat watery, somewhat over carbonated, yet nicely saturated. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Dark reddish brown with big lively fluffy beige head. Coriander, banana, licorice, more spicy yeast, soft alcohol, sweet sugary malts, toffee, banana candy, more sugar and alcohol, cloves, honey. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Bit over medium bodied but it feels a little light for a 10% beer. Like an imperial weizen quad? Decent beer.
