Pours very dark brown, looks almost black in the glass. Small to medium sized, greyish to slightly brownish head; decent retention, little lacing. A pretty simple but nicely intense and clean aroma: light roasted malts with hints of milk coffee, pretty vivid chocolate and vanilla notes. Taste is quite simple as well, just slightly less, still nicely clean and intense: very light roasted notes with a hint of milk coffee, soft chocolate notes, vanilla, a faint refreshing herbal/grassy feeling with a hint of bitterness in finish/aftertaste. Medium to high sweetness, medium bitterness, a soft/milky sweet edge in the mouth, a balanced finish. It's a quite pastry interpretation of the porter style, with a soft, borderline milky feel, but it's clean/precise and nicely balanced, not grossly pastry like many others. Light to medium body, low to medium, delicate carbonation; very easy to drink with a hint of creaminess. Nice one.

Very classic roasty porter, definitely get a bit of the rye.

That's nice. Great pour and a huge variety of flavours. Really well balanced bitter and sweet with a great mouthfeel and length. I couldn't have any more as perhaps its a bit too much, but lovely.

On tap at Tap Station. It's a dark brown beer, lightly hazy, with a small beige head. Roasted malts, hints of burnt malts and notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Raisin hints. It's full to medium bodied, quite dry, with a soft carbonation. Roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor, with some dried fruits. Long finish. Pleasant and easy drinkable. 240622

330ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasty dark malts, chocolate. Taste is roasty, dark malts, chocolate, vanilla, a touch of berry/dark fruits, bittersweet but more bitter. Medium-ish bodied. Lovely porter.

Negra opaca de dos dedos de espuma beige ocre, cremosa y densa. Aroma a licor, una pasa y notas de chocolate. En boca paso ligero, apenas gas, oleosa, densa. Rico sabor a chocolate, seca, amarga. Intensa.

Bière bue au Berthom. Robe noire attirante. En bouche, bonne présence des notes de café, caramel, subtile amertume qui s'harmonise parfaitement avec le caractère de la bière. De plus, son niveau d'alcool n'est pas trop prononcé, ce qui la rend très accessible.
