Can at home in Hackney - picked up from online, can’t recall where. Pours black-brown with a frothy, tan topping. Restrained sweetness, nice toasted brown bread, a little milk chocolate, mild roast, burnt grains. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Balanced finish, more chocolatey dark malts, raisins, earth. Sound.

Can, 5.5%. Aroma of dark bread. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour has a good maltiness, dark bread, quite sweet, molasses, roasted malt syrup. Good chocolate notes. Not very bitter, but has some bitterness, only it is balanced by a distinct sweetness. Very good for the ABV.

Can. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of oats and yeast, with touches of hops. Bitter, roasty flavour with pronounced notes of oats and touches of yeast and rye malt, as well as hints of vanilla and dark chocolate. Oaty and estery aftertaste with notes of roast. A nice one.
