Death by Chocolate Cake. What would happen if we took one of the nation’s best loved, super-indulgent desserts for inspiration, and applied it to our most indulgent beer? Even more cacao nibs, even more Cypress wood, even more depth. It’s doubled down and ramped up to imperial strength. The Amburana is still critical. Its spicy, fragrant spirals impart all kinds of different flavours, not dissimilar to the complexity of tonka beans. It's remarkable how we all seem to pick up something different from them.

Minimal beige head left a collar on a dark brown still body. Oak, berrry, dark chocolate & boozy aroma. Full bodied, oily, slick & greasy with no carbonation. Dark chocolate, syrup, jam, berries, apple & concentrated juice tastes.

330ml bottle. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, dark malts. Taste is sweet, rich, chocolatey, vanilla, malts, wood, alcohol is there but much less than expected. Full bodied, creamy, smooth. Best of the CCC beers for me.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of dark chocolate, alcohol, some coconut, bit of cinnamon, bit dusty, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of chocolate, bit spicy, sweet and sugary, cocoa powder, bitter, nice roast. Aftertaste: lots of chocolate, sweet, vanilla, some banana, more chocolate, lovely stuff.

Tap (Targowa, Wrocław). Roasty chocolate and cacao in aroma. Sweet in taste, chocolate with small booze at the finish, very tasty.
