Baltic Porter 20% je silné černé spodně kvašené pivo se svými 9,0% alkoholu. My jsme jej uvařili v listopadu 2021 a přesunuli do dřevěných sudů po sherry Pedro Ximenes a jamajském rumu a nechali v nich 10 měsíců zrát. V září 2022 jsme pivo stočili do lahví, přidali trošku kvasnic a cukru a nechali ještě 2 měsíců dozrávat v lahvích. Výsledkem jsou 2 speciální edice každá po 600 ks lahví. Po sherry získalo pivo jemně kyselý charakter evokující červené hrozny a víno. Ve spojení s rumem naopak pivo získalo jemnější charakter sladšího třtinového rumu. V obou edicích pak jde cítit charakter tmavého dřeva až višní, která pochází z tmavého piva a dlouhého ležení.

Bottle at BBT 12/2023. BBD 31.12.2023, barely made it. The beer did not though. It is a gusher, despite being kinda chilled - not cool, but kinda cool. Lost about 1,5 dcl out of the 7 dcl bottle. Lots of bubblegum in aroma and taste. Med-high sourness and bitterness, med-light tartness too. Definitely some contamination going on, this is not only the barrels and sherry - even if there is a medium amount of that too. Not entirely bad, but not what it was meant to be. Also I would like to pour it myself, not the beer to explode.

Bottle at BBT. Malty aroma and taste, cherry notes, wooden barrel notes, roastyness, light sour, medium bitter. Medium body, malty roasty cherry sour and bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle @ BBT 12/2023 F: medium, tanned, average retention. C: black brown, hazy. A: grapes, chocolate, woody, coconuts, chewing gum, cherries. T: full malty base, cherries, woody, bit brett, coconuts, chewing gum, dry on the palate, bit infected yet not bad, enjoyed.

Bottle at BBT 12/2023. Almost black color with tan head. Aroma of Pedro bubble gum, marzipan, coconut, sherry. Taste is dark malt, chocolate, coconut, brett, slightly sour beer. Not bad at all, but I am sure that sourness wasn’t intended.

Bottle. Not sure what to think about this one. Long story short, not worth the money. It's kinda expensive. What for? Cherry cask is obvious. Coconut? Yes. But all together? Not really impressive, with the price tag.
