A silky porter full of dark chocolate notes and caramelly maltiness accompanied by tingling hoppy finish.

bottle from mikkeller shop. Very dark brown, but not black, smooth light brown head. roasted malty and slightly sour dried dark fruity aroma. aroma reesembeles a sour porter. most of the notes are sort of hidden behind a tart base. i get sugar, chocolate, malts. flavor is fine, roasted malts, vanilla, brown sugar, good dryness, in fact this porter tastes really good, dry yet with quite some character. they are hitting my favorite porter flavor head on, very good. the aroma is puzzeling. i am using a clean glass and i did not taste any sours today anyway. super strange. excellent beer except the aroma.

Bottle at the wingman. Pours basically black with a fine sheen of head. Aroma is black malts, cacao, chocolate, malty in general. Somewhat reminiscent of a dark lager or Baltic porter. Some spicy hops. Medium body. Flavour is malty with loads of dark malts, some roast, lot of chocolate, some coffee. May not be one but has some aspects of a Baltic porter. Finishes with a hoppy touch, almost a bit BIPA like at the end. Really lovely porter.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is super nice dark chocolate, some chocolate milk too, frappé. Taste is frappé, chocolate, mild roast, grassy hop bitterness in the back. Velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Very, very tasty, quite amazing for this ABV.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours plum, almost black, with practically no foam. Aroma is nice, more of chocolate than coffee, nuts. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter, with good roastiness. Final is average.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry and consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 22nd December 2019 listening to one of our **albums of the year Yak - Pursuit of Momentary Happiness ** preparing Turkey, Brie and Cranberry Wellington. Pours pretty much black with a beige head. Spices on the nose, super smooth with a little bit of a bite at the end. The vanilla and cocoa are really presenting well. For a 6.6% beer this is superb and would not be out of place in more esteemed company.
