330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, herbal and cautiously tropical fruity hoppy overtones. Taste is dry, roasty, chocolately dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, a chalky touch of ashes, subtle, earthy, treacle-like sweetness, a touch of liquorice. Beefy.

Tap at TCBW2016. Opaque black color, nice bubbly beige head. Aroma has a bit perfumic toasted maltyness. Medium-bodied. Flavor has toasted malts, cocoa. Although it says American, somehow The Kernel like. Soft.

Got to remove this bottle from my luggage at the airport to adjust the weight, so drinking this secretly at a cafe, in a hurry. Pours nice dark brown, almost black. Beige head and stays there quite persistently. Aroma has some burnt rye bread and dar fruits, maybe dried plums, complete with some chocolate character. First sip feels smooth and velvety, yet packed with roast bitterness and also bitterness coming from the hops. Dries your mouth with this roast bitterness and this feeling lingers for quite some time. Decent porter that is beautifully executed and looks nice.
