The Moulins d'Ascq blanche is a light and refreshing beer. Behind its slight natural cloudiness, there are aromatic notes of citrus and coriander. Its foam is fine and compact, its nose is soft with an orange scent. In the mouth it is slightly hoppy with good length.

Bottle with corkcap 0,75ltr: Hazy yellow Belgian Witbier from French-Flanders, it resembles the old familiar Hoegaarden White in its old days. Quite thirstquenching with a taste of some spices.

From a wine shop in Cabourg, Normandy. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color, topped with a solid, rocky white head and fine retention. Wheaty aroma with some banana notes. Taste starts sweet and a bit wheaty. Quite spicy with a bit peppery finish. Mild bitterness. Nothing special.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein milchig trübes gelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig fruchtig, Gewürze, Citrus. Geschmack fruchtig, hefig, metallisch, würzig, leicht säuerlich.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellowish, pale golden colour with average to huge, foamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty and slightly herbal aroma, a touch of brine (Wurstwasser), hints of yeast, resemblance to a Grisette. Taste is minimally tart, salty, herbal, slightly wheaty, yeasty. Untypical Witbier (obviously not traditionally spiced) with inclination to the Saison style. Not bad.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Slightly hazy yellow color, decent white head. Aroma has some banana, spices, metal and light citric notes. Medium-bodied. Citrus, light overriped banana notes. A bit peppery finish. Refreshing witbier this style is not my cup of tea.

(bottle, 33cl) Foggy, yellow colour with a blond and short foamy head. Yeasty, wheaty and subtle fruity aroma with notes of bubblegum and coriander. Mildly sweet and bitter-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a sparkly carbonation. Wheaty and yeasty taste with notes of butter and a shy touch of citrus; a bit slim and slightly spicy and subtle fruity finish. Mediocre. 10.X.12
