Can pour into nonic pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is almost-black dark brown with mahogany, 1.5-finger width foamy light brown head with fair retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts and coffee with subtle dark chocolate. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and lightly bitter roasted finish. Overall, nice all around without being over-the-top sweet or a coffee bludgeon.

Tasty coffee porter, rich and roasted with deep veins of chocolate and java, layering unsweetened cocoa with a mildly vinous coffee acidity. Stays resolutely dry, finishing with a strong swipe of dark roast bitterness offset by the mildest hint of caramel-laced dark chocolate. Pours black with brown edges and a thin beige head leaving slight lace. Nose is straight black coffee goodness. Feel is a tad on the thin side but manageable. Good beer.
