Can pour into nonic pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is almost-black dark brown with mahogany, 1.5-finger width foamy light brown head with fair retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts and coffee with subtle dark chocolate. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and lightly bitter roasted finish. Overall, nice all around without being over-the-top sweet or a coffee bludgeon.

355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour has a slight sweetness, distinct notes of coffee but not overdone, also chocolate and decent hops, hints of roasted nuts. Good beer.

Hotbox fra 0,33 boks på høstens siste Mi2, Cardinal des-17: nesten helt sort med flott skum som varer. Besnærende aroma og smak med lekker sjokolade, dessertkaffe og et lite urtestreif på toppen. Elegant bitterhet i avslutningen. Mersmak de luxe. Fra fat (planke) på Café Fiasco etter GF i a/s Nor-Horn juni-19: tidligere beskrivelse tiltredes umiddelbart!

Tasty coffee porter, rich and roasted with deep veins of chocolate and java, layering unsweetened cocoa with a mildly vinous coffee acidity. Stays resolutely dry, finishing with a strong swipe of dark roast bitterness offset by the mildest hint of caramel-laced dark chocolate. Pours black with brown edges and a thin beige head leaving slight lace. Nose is straight black coffee goodness. Feel is a tad on the thin side but manageable. Good beer.
