A robust bock brewed primarily with malted spelt (dinkelmals) that lends body and baked bread flavors. The use of other German specialty malts elevate the base by providing aromatics of roasted chestnuts, chocolate and toffee.The use of Spalter Select hops balance the malt and alcohol character with tinges of herbaceous goodness. Naturally carbonated and conditioned for 12 weeks.

Taster at brewery. Dark brown, opaque, ring of beige head. Roasty aroma, light sweet notes, raisins. Taste is sweet, malty, chocolate, fruity, dry. Well balanced. This seems to be this brewery's forte. Smooth.
