Next in our "Dogs of Bright Ideas" series is Anubis Pale English Bitter. You can usually find Anubis, the dog, hanging out around lunch time with her owner, Richard Criddle.

Brewed with two types of floor malted English barley and hopped with East Kent Goldings this bitter is golden in color with a dry, earthy hop character that pairs well with BBQ.

Pours a clear dark gold from a tap, nice thick cream colored lacing. Malty and kind of a pale lager aroma, similar flavor. Good beer, light.

Taster at brewery. Cloudy dark golden, skin of head, lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty, fruity, apple. Taste is malty, caramel, fruity, bitter, and light apple. Not your ordinary ESB.

Draught at source: pours deep gold with a white head. Aroma is earthy, citrus, fruity notes. Light malt, light bitterness, biscuit. Solid.
