The tip of the top, the cream of the crop, you’ve got World on a String. This beer was inspired by a classic cocktail: the Old Fashioned. We brew an amber ale with orange peel and age it in bourbon barrels. A hint of citrus, a whiff of bourbon, a touch of spice, and you’ve got memories that’ll last until the day after forever.
Grains: Caramel Rye Malt, Honey Malt, Vienna Malt, Pale Malt, Allagash 2-Row Malt Blend

Hops: Northern Brewer, Mandarina Bavaria

Spices/Other: Orange Peel

Yeast: House Yeast

12oz bottle. At the February DCBeer share. Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized slightly off-white head. Aroma was sweet malt, some woody notes. Dried cherries, malt and caramel. A bit of toffee and booze.

Goblet pours a dark brown with lots of creamy Grey head. Nose is earthy and malty, booze is more Woody than anything. Dried cherry goes with the malt and caramel and some butterscotch. Prickly on the finish. Must be the booze. 8 7 7.5 7 7.5

12 oz. Aroma has notes of oak, bourbon, vanilla, sherry, orange, raisin. Pours hazy orange with a one finger beige head that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is moderately sweet with some hoppy bitterness alongside.

Bottled 9/16/20, drunk 3/18/22. Clear amber-bronze with a small, beige head that shows moderate-to-low retention. Nose is heavily malty, with candy-like caramel and toffee, vanilla and soft buttercream. Light acidity and mild orange with an even tone to it and great malt structure/depth. No alcohol noted whatsoever. In the mouth it's soft, malty, rich, with heavy caramel and toffee but neither being cloying. Vanilla, buttercream, mild orange and mild acidity lend it an aged barleywine quality but it's neither boozey nor cloying.
