Now more than 100 years later we have decided to bring Imperial Stout onto the market once again. In the production of A. Le Coq Imperial Extra Double Stout we have endeavoured to follow the original recipe as closely as possible. It is a rich, dark beer with a dense brown head, dominated by dark-roasted malt barley and, typical of beers of the era, a hint of oakiness with autumn berries and sherry. The bottle has its own original label design.

C: opaque cola brown
N: roasted malt, slight metallic notes, faint nougat, caramel, light butterscotch, faint candied sugar, overall on the sweet side
P: roasted malt, prunes, light plum, faint ash, touch of candied sugar, gets dry towards the finish. Alcohol not exactly integrated too well, not boozy, but still rougher on the palate.

Bottled (from Alko). Black colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is roasted, some toasted and mild blueberry tones. Flavour is ashy, some roasted, chocolaty and mild alcohol tones along with a wee bit of metal to it.
