Late last summer, we drove out to Crosby Hop Farm to meet up with our friends from Block 15. We talked about West Coast IPAs, why we’re both fans of the style, and more specifically, the ideal hops for a fantastic spring seasonal. A few lots of Comet & Idaho 7 really stood out that day. And now, you’ll get to enjoy their vibrant flavors & aromas all spring long.

Can. Golden beer with a cream head. Lemon aroma. Lemon and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Lemon and grapefruit linger.

16 oz. can, pours a clear bright golden with a medium white head with long retention. Aroma is fresh and vibrant, with a wonderfully bright piney hop character dominating, followed by crisp crackery malt, and some citrus rinds. Flavour is forceful, with truckloads of piney hops, plenty of juicy melon, some tropical fruits, a hint of dankness, and crisp crackery malt. Now this is just a top-quality west coast IPA here. Loads of pine, perfectly bitter, still juicy and melony, with just enough malt to hold it together. Brilliant stuff.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear golden pour, thick fluffy head, lively carbonation. Bready aroma with light fruity notes. Taste is fruity and floral, slightly dry. Light hoppy finish.

16oz can pours out crisp clean golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice melons pine hops and some sweetness. Taste is more of the nice big hops melons pine citrus and malts.
