Native Refermentation of Grapes from Red Willow Vineyard
Yakima Valley
Made in cooperation with our friend Travis Allen of Kobayashi Winery.
The 2020 harvest beer was made from a native re/fermentation of grapes grown by the Sauer family at Red Willow Vineyards.
1982 planted Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc were cofermented on their skins. The blend consists of dry hopped wheat and oat saison and open fermented wheat saison.
This beer was refermented to condition in the bottle with raw Washington honey.

750ml bottle pours out hazy straw topped with a white head. Nose is some grape notes citrus hop touch and some barrel notes. Taste is more of the nice funky barrel notes some grape and a citrus touch.

Bottle thanks to Adnan. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grape skin, oak, mineral, yeast. Thin body, funk, grape, light tartness, balanced, very nice.
