This iteration of our stupendous foeder-aged saison is loaded with vanilla and some absolutely delicious local lemons. Our special projects wizards picked up 300 lbs of Sorrento Lemons from Rancho del Sol, a citrus farm in east San Diego. These little gems are highly aromatic and nuanced--rumor has it, they’re the true lemon traditionally used in making limoncello. After harnessing all that citrus sorcery, we added 8 lbs of Congo vanilla, which juxtaposed the brightness of the lemons spectacularly; a wonderfully complex, dessert-y dynamic. These flavors are about to jump around your mouth like kids in a moon bounce, and with just as much delight.

375ml @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: lemony, lots of vanilla, some funk. Taste: along the same lines, quite aggressive on the lemon and vanilla side. Overall: meh.

Bottle at Schramm's tasting #1. Slightly hazy yellow with white head. Strong lemon detergent / urinal cake aroma. Some lavender. Taste is yuzu, lemon zest. So much tangy citrus. Unfortunately the aroma ruins it for me.

Bottle at share. Pours out a thick, milky yellow with a super creamy white head. Looks like lemon parfait. Lemon meringue is all over the taste and aroma, just enough tartness and sweetness. couple this with a super velvety feel and you have a stellar beer.
