Pint can brought home from Brewer’s Haven. Pours black with a finger of thick, creamy brown head. It has a great barrel note in the aroma with an intoxicating sweetness to go with a rich espresso vibe. Very pleasant to sniff. Great mouthfeel, thick and creamy. The espresso platys well with a deep sweetness, but in no way cloying. The barrel notes are toned down and compliment nicely. Big flavors, but nothing is overbearing. Very nice.

On tap at the boise taproom. Black pour with a persistent fine dark tan head. Very boozy and barrel sweetness. Dark cherries and a little licorice. Some ABV burn and a smooth slick finish. A little coffee bite at the end .

16oz can from Woodland. Near black pour with a thin beige head, thicker around the collar. Aroma offers a rich roasty malt profile, notes of coffee and oak. Taste is sweet and chocolaty, smooth, clean. ABV? Where? Sweet and crushable, but don't, savor and enjoy.
