Can (Ghost Demons Batch--16.66% ABV) shared by Steve.Opaque black, thin head quickly fading to ring, no lacing.Aroma strong sweet/lightly roasted malt, molasses.Taste strong sweet malt, mild berry, toffee, molasses, rock candy.Smooth, thick texture, full body, soft carb, fin as taste.

12oz stovepipe can from Tavour. Ghost 1105, 17%. Black pour, mostly flat. Sweet, boozy aroma, bananas, chocolate, kind of like a banana split sundae. Taste continues this, sweet, chocolate syrupy flavor, more (fake) banana. Pretty darn sweet, and the warmth comes late on the game.

355ml bottle [Ghost 817, 18% abv]. Viscous pour, jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, tan head, a small ring of tiny bubbles remains at the bezel. Intense and condensed, chocolately, roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, chocolate sauce, couverture, whiffs of cinnamon, liquorice, dark caramel, fruity-alcoholic whiffs of Marsalla, Port, Sherry, plum wine, nutty hints of nougat. Taste is sweet-ish and bitter, roasty, chocolately, dark and caramel malty, notes of dark chocolate, coverture, dark caramel, a subtle spicy touch of liquorice, fruity, mildly alcoholic hints of Marsalla, Port, Sherry, plum wine, sweet-ish, liqueur-like, nutty and fruity hints of nougat, plum, cherry; extremely well hidden alcohol considering the ultra high abv. Viscous texture, smooth, soft silky, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Rich, intense, manifold, evolving, sweet but in no way tacky, very well hidden alcohol (but you get the verification handed physiologically), harmonious, balanced and homogeneous, mild, gentle and discreet - superb sipper. Exposes Adroit Theory's genius at making heavy brews feel light and easy perfectly.

Bottle, 366 ml shared with Miro B, JFK10000 and Max. Black with beige head. Very dense, chocolate, roasted, some fruit notes, coffee, dense and thick. Low carbonation. Full bodied. Alcohol well hidden, unlike the 818 variant.

Pitch black, motor oil pour with a thin tan head. Notes of molasses, dark roasted malts, licorice, soy sauce, dark cherries, sour cherry preserve, light smoke. Perfectly balanced, smooth mouthfeel, and the alcohol dangerously well hidden. Solid stuff, right up my alley.

$11.99 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours black, not as thick as I'd imagine this would be, small beige head. Heavy chocolate, charcoal, a bit of booze in the nose. Flavor is boozy chocolate, somewhat sweet, earth, caramel, light smoke. Decent flavor and not as boozy as you'd imagine (though it's not hidden), but also not as good as I'd hoped.
