On tap at The Beer Mongers. Pours brown with a small white head. Aroma has lightly smookey toffee malts, crayon, and crusty bread. Flavour has toffee malts, gentle smokiness, and burnt crust. Fantastic burnt, toffee-llike malt flavours.

On tap at The Beer Mongers, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma smells like an authentic doppelbock, with toasted caramel, bready malt and a tiny hint of barrels. Flavour reveals a restrained barrel character, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and a touch of whiskey. Balanced well, with subtle barrels that add a nice dimension. Very good.

500ml bottle from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour, patchy beige silky head. Sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, bourbon. Taste is sweet, molasses, raisins, woody, mild bourbon notes. Bourbon more apparent in the aroma. A bit on the sweet side.

On tap at the brewery pours out a dark cola brown topped with a small ring of a head. Nose is nice big sweet malts some bourbon barrel vanilla light chocolate. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate vanilla plenty bourbon barrel notes.
