"Das Decoction" is a Munich Dunkel brewed with German ingredients AND the traditional German brewing technique, Decoction mashing. This is very rare in the US (and may be the first in Idaho) because most non-European brewing systems cannot operate in this traditional brewing manner. Thus Bear Island Brewing invited our friends at Payette to come on over and team up at our custom brewhouse to bring you an authentic German brew for both of our Oktoberfest celebrations this year.
