Our RISt in Peace aged in Koenig 7 Devils Bourbon barrels! This big dark beer has layers of flavor from light malt and toffee, dark cherries, deep caramel and dark chocolate. The barrel aging adds a healthy wallop of bourbon, caramel, and vanilla. Served in a Chalice on Nitro.

On tap at the Avimor brewery/taproom. Compared to the non-barrel aged version. Big up front boozy bourbon character. Otherwise similar. Dark roast, a little ash and fairly modest hop bitterness.

Sampler at brewery, tasted side by side with the base stout. This boozy batch wa from a first use Seven Devils barrel. Very bourbon forward with notes of toffee and oak. The stout kind of gets lost in there. Plenty warm.

On tap at the brewery pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is big bourbon barrel rich roast malts chocolate vanilla. Taste is more of the bourbon barrel vanilla coffee chocolate roast malts.
