The founders of both Double Mountain (Matt Swihart) and Solera (Jason Kahler) have deep roots in the Midwest heartland. But things once familiar change. Old dirt roads get paved, and houses get built in cornfields. Sometimes you eat the bar, other times the bar eats you. Citra and Mosaic hops join forces with Strata hops for a brawl of sticky citrus and resinous tropics, finishing aggressively balanced and dry.

On tap at Double Mountain - Woodstock, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of allium, a touch of melony hops, and light pine. Flavour is bright and bitter, with bitter piney hops, some green melon, dankness, and allium. The Citra comes across better on the palate, and everything comes together in general, leaving a long bitter finish. Very good.

500ml bottle from Brewers Haven. Hazy golden pour, small white creamy head. Aroma is bready with a light hoppiness. Taste is dry, malty, mild hop presence. Light bitter finish.
