Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear brown with a beautiful reddish hue and a small, rough, beige head. Caramel, toffee and alcohol in the nose. Rich, sweet, toffeeish maltiness with a warming alcohol finish. A slight oakiness. A lovely Barley Wine at its best. 111221

Bottle 330ml. @ [ (PBF XII Tasting.) by oh6gdx ] - Petalax, Finland. [ As Koch Odravein ].Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit, rich malt, marzipan malt, alcohol, rye. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, rich malt, dried fruit, sweet malt, caramel, alcohol, rye, fig - prunes, marzipan malt. Bottled at PBF XII. Clear nut brown, small head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Lots of caramel, some honey and white pepper. Warming piney bitter finish.

Bottle (at ujh). Pours copper with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, grains. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, cardboard, malt. Finish is sweet and bitter with some booze. Overall: ok.
