330ml bottle [2012 vintage]. Slightly cloudy, dark copper colour with effervescent, huge, frothy, collapsing, off-white head. Spicy, herbal, malty aroma, hints of aniseed, coriander, sage, clove, "Pfeffernuss". Taste is slightly tart, dry, tannic, herbal, minimally soapy and fruity, some sour cherry, sage, aniseed, clove, a dry touch of rose hip. Extremely X-massy. OK aroma, but in the end the spicy mixture doesn’t really work for me in a beer.

Draught at CBC 2014. Hazy amber liquid with a small white head. Aroma of licorice, spices, bread and dried fruit. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of spices, bread and raw sugar. Light to medium bodied with low carbonation. Really eccentric. Reminds me of Glühwein for sure, in a bad way...

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Sourish-spicy aroma. Starts malty-spicy, notes of some herbs, modest dry. Finish milder, spicy-malty aftertaste. Interesting beer!

Served hot at Max’s Belgian beer fest. Cloudy ruby red color. Aroma of gluhwein!!! Taste is also mulled/spiced, herbal, but not too sweet. reminds me of Christikindlmarkt in Germany.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Looks really nice this with a warm amber red cloudy body. Really glowing in the glass and it has a small mild beige sidesticking head. Smells really means to describe. It's a little sour ish with lots of spiced elements. Wood and nyper - rosehip. Pumpkin! That's it. Smells a bit like pumpkin and traces of ginger. It's near flat on the bubbles and gliding oily in the mouth. Red berries in the taste, more rosehips. Not to sour at all, but it has a little hint in the back. The spices comes forward again but not before the aftertaste. One of the betters I've had from Loverbeer. 03.05.2014

Taste is slightly sour-ish harsh, grass, oak, sorrel, ginger, cloves, soap, almond essence, pine. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Meh!
