Das Tipsy Monk ist ein hellbraunes Starkbier. Seine 7,5 % Alkohol sind unauffällig eingebettet in einen kräftigen, süßen Malzkörper. Aromen von Karamell und Trockenfrüchten geben dem Bier eine Komplexität, die den historischen belgischen Bierstil so besonders macht.
Das Tipsy Monk ist handwerklich hergestellt. Es werden nur natürliche Zutaten verwendet, die teilweise (Roggenmalz, Kandiszucker) die Grenzen des deutschen Reinheitsgebots verlassen. Das Tipsy Monk ist unfiltriert und nicht pasteurisiert. Ein leichter Bodensatz in der Flasche ist normal.

Almost clear, copper color and a nice white head. Nose of dried fruits and Xmas spices, caramel. Taste Is malty, dried fruits, slightly spicy caramel, herbal-hoppy. Rather hoppy Finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, redd-ish, dark amber colour with average, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Minimally spicy, malty and slightly yeasty fruity aroma, notes of dried fruit, raisin, sultana, date, whiffs of rock sugar, clove. Taste is minimally sugary, caramel malty with low residual sweetness, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy and minimally leafy hoppy, hints of dried fruit, raisin, date, clove, a touch o frye spiciness, minimally soapy overtones.
Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation.
Relatively clean and monotonous, not much depth - meh!

Craft Frankfurt 2024. A clear orange golden beer with a beige head. Aroma of raisins dark brown malt, caramel. Taste of caramelized dark malt, red fruits, raisins, plums.

Hefiger, trocken kräutriger Antrunk. Geringe Süße, etwas röstig, Karamell, Datteln. Harmonisch, zunehmend hefig, würzig zum Ende. Gefällt. 9/10/9/9/11/9
