Poured pitch black in color, espresso head.
Impressive. Lovely licorice notes on top of the roasted malty body. Light chocolate. Balanced, not burnt, not to sweet.

Bottle (from Mallaskoski Brewery Shop). Pitch black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some ashes, mild alcohol sweetness and mild plummy tones too. Flavour is dark dried fruits, some berries, plum, liquorice, alcohol and some slight roasted tones. Finishes quite ashy and sweet.

0,33l bottle @ Taproom d20. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with liquorice. Flavor is dry roasted malts with liquorice, alcohol, hops. Very bitter, quite good.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Black, small head. Aroma of salmiak and coffee. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Sweet licorice and tar pastilles. Sugar on salmiak-y sponge cake. Mid bitter finish. A tad unusual and very Finnish.

ABV: 10.5%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate, wood, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, licorice, dark malt, sweet malt, wood, quit liquor like. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240109]

Smell of roasted malt, tar. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, herb liqueur, faint red berries in finish. Sweet, medium bitter. Viscous texture, very soft carbon.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #E3980, no BBE info Aroma has chocolate and salty licorice. Flavour has salty licorice, mild herbal vibes, licorice root. Some milk chocolate too. Simple, yet good and pleasant.
